Why are we afraid to fly

Every time we get into a car, we fasten our seat belt and, in general, no longer think about safety. Even in a taxi. Despite the fact that we don’t know at all what condition the driver is in. What is his experience, accident-free driving record, temperament, after all.

It's a matter of habit. And, of course, in psychology. Our brain defends itself and tries not to bother us over trifles. Taking a taxi is a common affair. Everything is fine.
It’s hard to imagine what will happen to the nervous system if you always expect danger. But it surrounds you everywhere.

Before getting into the cabin of a helicopter, we rightly think about safety. The unknown and heights are scary. This is an extraordinary event; we are not used to flying. This is where the whole secret lies.

Non-scary walk

Think about how many road users you will meet along the way, at least from the Moscow Ring Road to the take-off site. Landed and Flew. But it’s only 2 kilometers.
Toward, across traffic, in the same direction. We are caught up in the mass of unexpected movements of strangers.

The likelihood that one of the drivers may simply become ill is much higher than meeting another helicopter in the sky. I am already silent about violations of traffic participants. In addition, some of the drivers are inexperienced, some of the cars have faults.

Everything listed above is impossible when flying not by helicopter, and most importantly:

○ we do not use rented equipment
○ we service helicopters in our technical center
○ all pilots are full-time employees with extensive experience
○ all pilots are active instructors of our training aviation center
○ there is no traffic in the sky and meet another helicopter, but Moreover, it is almost impossible to collide

11 people died in 2022 throughout our huge country in plane crashes involving helicopters. For comparison, 300 people crashed into cars and 8,779 were injured.
